Live Your Dream Awards

 Since 1972, Live Your Dream Awards is Soroptimist’s major women’s education program. Participating in this instrumental program, clubs have made a BIG difference in the lives of women and their families. Many recipients have overcome obstacles and gone on to accomplish great things in their lives and community.

Giving Back

Every year, more than $2 million in education grants are awarded to nearly 1,500 women throughout the world. Through education and career opportunities The Live Your Dream Awards gives women a chance to better their lives for themselves and their families. The awards program is the cornerstone of our organization —  increasing awareness and international name recognition to Soroptimist.   

Ways You Can Help

Join and volunteer at a local Soroptimist club.

Partner with Soroptimist of Alhambra as Corporate Sponsor. 

Take Action by Raising Awareness — advocate for women’s rights, become a program ambassador, and/or donate to a featured campaign. 

Eligible applicants must be enrolled in, or have been accepted, to a vocational/skills training program or an undergraduate degree program and must demonstrate financial need. Live Your Dream Awards

2020 First Place Awards Winner

Tencha Espino, was the top out of five recipient. She is a student at East Los Angeles College. After graduation with an Associate Arts degree, she plans to further her education, her goal being obtaining a Bachelor in Science degree in Public Policy. 


Being a Native American of  the Navajo Nation, Ms. Espino aspires to legislate changes to help  indigenous people both in the United States and ultimately worldwide. A domestic violence survivor she extricated herself from that toxic  environment. 


Ms. Espino is also a recovering addict and a mother of five children. She went on to win Third Place in the Camino Real Region.
